| This carburetor was made by Rochester , The Rochester Products Division of General Motors was located in Rochester New York and built carburetors for GM vehicles since 1949 . It is a R4-E4MC the E4MC is a Hot air side mounted choke with a Mixture Control Solinoid Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor, which means the choke is located on the passenger side connected to the carburetor and draws hot air from the intake and has a Mixture Control Solinoid (normaly blue 1980 has black) .They started making them in 1980 and ran threw 1990. Most will have 1 inch 20 Fuel inlet . 1980 and up electronic quadrajets use a different metering rod . This carburetor has a part number of 17111239 and used on 86-90 Chev BOP 305/307 .
