These spread-bore carburetors are manufactured by Weber USA with all new components. They are brand new carburetors... not remanufactured. The Performer Series for Q-Jet Applications are stock replacement and street legal in 50-states for the Chevrolet/GMC vehicles listed under each carburetor description. Q-Jets were original equipment on some of the most popular Chevy and GMC engines on the road today. Now the Edelbrock and Weber engineers have refined these classic carbs while retaining their original replacement status. These carbs are compatible with all stock linkage and components for the years listed, and will fit stock intake manifolds. For optimum street performance these carbs may be used with a street legal/stock replacement Performer intake manifold. This brand new carb is 50 state legal for 1980-89 454 Chevy/GMC trucks originally equipped with Quadrajet carburetors. It's engineered and calibrated to stock specs and has all required vacuum ports. The triple booster primary venturi design makes for great drivability and optimum fuel economy.
This carburetor is a high performance version of the Q-Jet calibrated for use with the Performer RPM Q-Jet manifold and other high performance, non-emissions applications. It has an 850 cfm air flow capacity, and the .149" diameter needle and seat assembly provides fuel flow to support 500+ horsepower. The unique secondary air valve has special mixture distribution tabs for improved air/fuel distribution and large idle discharge ports to provide sufficient idle control for use with long duration camshafts. A totally unique feature is the adjustable cruise air/fuel ratio for part throttle calibration. Other features include: early Chevy (1966-73) throttle arm and integral electric choke. These high-quality performance tuning parts fit original equipment GM Rochester Quadrajet carburetors and Edelbrock Performer RPM Q-Jet #1910. These Q-Jet performance parts are not intended for use on computer-controlled carburetors. Please Note: No calibration changes are needed in Edelbrock Q-Jets #1901, #1902, #1903 and #1904 unless they are used in high-altitude conditions.
